Q: Will this tightly wrap around a 2x4?

As I mentioned in my original post, the 10" strap barely wraps around a 2x4 only holding by 1/2" so probably not a good choice unless whatever you're wrapping is lightweight. However, both the 13" strap and the 17" strap wrap very well around a 2x4 (see video) and I believe that each would hold their intended weight limit as listed on the manufacturers website.

1 1/4 in, 1 7/8 in, and 2 1/4 in widths.
