Not true analog.
Bough this for some MW dx'ing as it was to supposed to be very sensitive on AM. And, it is. Very. However this is the 'DD' Version and it is no longer true analogue, you realise that as soon as you slowly tune up the waveband, it's definitely chip processing, and this leads to unfortunate 'false peaks' and uncomfortable listening to any fading signals. Shame. None the less, it pulls in more stations than any other radio that I have. Shortwave is usable but fiddly, FM is pretty decent. Sound quality is powerful rather than crystal clear.

Cheap and nasty at a premium price
I love radios and sort of collect them. When i saw this one reviewed on Radio J Allen I just had to have it, for the retro look if nothing else..Problem is, it arrived with two pieces of debris on the inside the tuning window which let its appearance down straight away, with no easy way to clean it out short of dismantling the radio. Not only that, rather than looking stylish and retro it just looks cheap and plasticky, which it is.Then there was the volume control, On powering up it came on loud and went to very loud, with little playroom to turn it down to a comfortable listening level without a lot of fiddling. The sound quality was appalling, with so much treble it was almost painful.I believe the radio I received was faulty, surely nothing can be designed to intentionally sound so bad.I have returned it, and even though I collect radios I will not be buying another one of these.

Very low volume, defective
This is the worst Panasonic radio I bought. Low volume, maybe defective.
