Teva's Omnium 2 Hiking Sandals Are Teriffic
I bought these Teva's to replace a similar pair of Keen sandals, which lacked the adjustability I wanted. The Teva Omnium 2 are adjustable in just about every way possible. They have the "stretch laces" that are pretty typical of hiking sandals, an adjustable strap with clip closure across the top of the foot, and a Velcro strap at the heel. They're quite lightweight, provide good cushioning and arch support, and benefit from having a closed heel for added stability. The toe is closed and provides good protection. Tread provides typical Teva grip. First time I wore them I went on a 6.25 mile hike over varying terrain and my feet felt pretty much as good at the end as at the beginning. The only possible weak spot is where the heel joins the sole, but only time and hard use will tell how durable these prove to be. In the meantime, they're a pleasure to wear.Bottom line: There's a reason why Teva sandals have such a solid reputation, and the Omnium 2 upholds the standard.

Great Water Shoe
Purchased these for my husband to have comfortable, light weight, quick-dry water shoes for our trip to Zion NP where we planned to do a lot of water hikes. They required a teensy “break-in” period, or wear socks to cushion the back ankle from tension blisters occurring. They’re neither stylish, nor cheap, but they’ll do the trick!

Pleasantly surprised
I was worried when I bought these that they may not be good for sock-free use. No problem. They fit well, were really comfortable for long walks and hikes, and the adjustments were easy to get right. Basically out of the box, on my feet, and into the forests of Thailand. No chafing, no blisters. A great find. Minus one star for the goofy design. Kind of makes your feet look like a cartoon character. But comfy.

Nice shield with one big issue
Really wanted to like these. I took them tubing however they gave me blisters on my heal. Initially they were comfortable but after a while the stitches on my heal caused blisters. True to size, attractive but that one flaw.

My second pair and I love them
This is my second pair of Teva Omnium's. I have the first gen and now the second gen version. I have used them for hiking and backpacking many times and they are comfortable and sturdy. The first gen had a tendency to stink really bad after water use. This second gen version does not appear to have that problem. I wear size 11 and bought the Teva Omnium 2 in size 11. They fit well. Also, the tread is well made for hiking/backpacking.The first gen Teva Omnium's were a tad of a larger fit and I wore size 10.5 in them.

Back of heel is quite rough
The back of the heel is made of a very stiff and coarse material. Just a short amount of wear caused my skin to become irritated and eventually blister. After allowing the sore to heal I loosened the back strap and attempted to wear again. It didn't take long before the irritation occurred again. Sad, because I liked the overall support from the shoe. I would have tried back of heel pads but I don't think they would hold.
