Hydrochloric acid
This is a good volume and concentration for experiments.

Few reviewers seem to know anything useful about chemistry and pH
I use this product as the basis for a stock solution used with freshwater fish. And it has worked consistently over the last five years I've used it.In this insance,I prefer to use a step-up in quality from muriatic acid. It has nothing to do with potency or any parameter discussed here. It has to do with perceived purity. I'm not pouring the really cheap junk (the muriatic acid found on the floor at Lowes) into my Discus tank.If other purchasers would have actually read the product description, they would have seen this is a 0.1M solution. So you bought the wrong strength product and you're complaining it's the product's fault?? And one commenter said acetic acid is "stronger" than hydrochloric. When compared on equal terms, for example 1 molar acetic vs. 1 molar hydrochloric in aqeous solution, you would find that hydrochloric acid is infinitely stronger than acetic. Just look up their respective pKa.This product works completely as expected and has proven itself safe over the years. Next time, read the labels and don't trash the product. Reading these comments suggests many of you should be extra cautious because even 0.1M dropped on exposed skin will ruin your day.

.1 percent solution
way too weak! i guess it was my fault that i didn't read the label. i wanted 30% solution. this stuff does nothing.

Chemical
Don't use very often but has worked for what i needed it for every time has lasted so far open for almost 3 months with no change although with chemicals like acids would prefer glass bottles.

Does not appear to be accurate .1M solution
I titrated this against a .2N NaOH solution that I had just tested (minutes before) against a very accurate potassium hydrogen phthalate solution. Based on this titration the molarity of this supposed .1M HCl appears to be approximately .115M, not .1M. Disappointing that it was that far off. I was planning to use this .1M HCl to standardize/test .1N and .2N NaOH solutions in the future. This inaccuracy will make it more difficult to use it for that purpose. I expected a reagent advertised to be laboratory-grade to be at least within 1% of the stated concentration.

It's very weak. But is it suppose to be that way?

Read before buying!
Kinda pissed. But only at myself. Didn't thoroughly read the label which clearly read 0.01% HCL.USELESS !!!

Scam, just water
This is just water in a bottle. Does not react to baking soda or work in any reaction. Avoid this seller.
