A fine lens but not without its drawbacks.
I had this lens for a couple of weeks and found it to be a very capable performer but returned it as I found that it was not without its drawbacks, the major one being the lack of OIS, which to me was a serious omission on Fujis part, OK I know it would have made it even more expensive than it already is but it was a deal breaker for me. I already had the superb 18-55 kit lens which when I compared to the 16-55 I considered the extra expense could not be justified so instead invested in a second hand mint boxed XT2 and grip. This coupled with the wonderful 18-55 kit lens has convinced me that my decision was the right one. I have nothing but the highest praise for the Fuji system, the two bodies and four lenses that I now own produce magnificent pictures as did the 16-55 whilst I had it, just consider the weight factor and the lack of OIS, if you think these are minor drawbacks then go for it, its a great lens, but unfortunately not for me.
