Hello, This model is a Face Shaver. You probably want to look at Hair Cutters. The model that I most highly suggest is the HC4250. It is a great haircutter.

Q: Will this razor send me back in time, to when everyone knew their place and there were just three television networks and two sexes?

No, but I tried to get Remington to do that. I've gotten rid of all my battery rechargeable shavers, and wanted pure electric. I asked Remington if they were going to make a pure electric model that had consistent power all the time (no charging, discharging, throwing batteries out), but they said no. So I've gotten new models of what these were based on...the Remington XLR shaver. They shave superbly, made in USA, and will likeout outlast these or other battery shavers.

This is indeed a foil shaver but it has a pop-up trimmer for beards, sideburns and mustaches.
