I originally purchased these when we had just moved into a new house and were moving furniture around as we figured out where we wanted it. They made moving even large pieces of furniture easy; they glide really well over tile and wood when using the "fluffy" pads. I haven't used them over carpet so I can't speak to that, but our new wood floors still looked like new after moving furniture around multiple times. Now we are doing a remodel and I have a large media console, a really long couch, and a heavy coffee table that need to be maneuvered as we do measurements and put things in place. I've got them under each of those items so that we don't cause damage to the floors as we move things around and I can move them myself without getting multiple people involved to help. Our builder/general contractor was even impressed; he said they have SO many instances where unnecessary damage occurs because furniture is just dragged across floors without protection. These can save a lot of time and money in fixes. I recommend these all the time, have multiple sets, and lend them out quite a bit.

I just bought a second set of these. Definitely exact same thing. First set I bought about 20 years ago.I originally bought these to easily move furniture around. Didn't want to tear up the carpet or scratch the floor. They worked good. They usually sat in a drawer.Then I started using a metal frame a welder friend made for me as a kitchen table. Used these under the feet all the time.A year ago, I bought this house. Bamboo floors. First thing I thought of was to use these with the carpet cover. They work great for my 'illustrious' little metal frame kitchen table. That table means alot to me because of who made it. It was meant to be a shop table.Now I bought a kitchen island work table. One of those for cooking, with wood top. Tried some other small carpeted feet protectors. They work. But it just wasn't easy to slide it around on the floor. With wood (bamboo) floors, you're always cleaning. Moving things around. Want to move easily. These work much better. The size is part of it. I could spray some kind of lubricant on the carpet covers to slide even easier. Something like silicone.Use with carpet covers or not. Work great for both.I have thrown the carpet covers in the washing machine. No problem.Use anyway I want. Temporary or permanent.The foot of the furniture does form an indentation in this. Much better than forming an indentation in my floor. The size distributes the weight over a larger spot. The plastic base hasn't broken in many years.

These were exactly what I needed. They functioned exactly how I wanted them to function. I bought these to use for both my new tiled living room and for use in my newly carpeted bedroom. I needed them to be versatile; and that, they are. I bought other items to leave under furniture either to be able to move whenever, and others so furniture does not move when not desiring for it to do so. I wanted to use these particular ones to actually slide under some rubber motionless feet protectors, which I am leaving under my couch, when I want to move my couch for cleaning. These are big enough to accomplish that. I put them under my lazy boy couch which is extremely heavy and difficult to move even on bare concrete. I could maneuver easily. My daughter asked me today if I had a suggestion for such an item. I highly recommended this as it's capable of being used on any surface.

I've always been a proponent of these products because they help protect floor surfaces, particularly hardwood surfaces. I've recently moved and continue to use these sliders, but I did replace the ones I used for 3+ years with new ones. My new place has flooring that's uneven in various spots and I've had to double stack the sliders for the front feet of my sofa. My one comment on that is...I was able to fit the covering around 2 stacked sliders, but if I needed a 3rd, the cover wouldn't hold them. I wish they made the covers sold separately and/or larger so that if needed, you could accommodate multiple stacking of the sliders.

Those are a lifesaver for your back!! They work so good, I will be buying more!! My heavy furniture slid across the floor so easily. I was able to slide it by myself. Great purchase!!

Last year, I helped move some big furniture, and afterward, I decided that I absolutely needed to buy some furniture sliders. What's nice about these is they have easy to remove covers, so you could use them on both the floor and the carpet with no issues. It makes things so much easier, because you're able to slide the furniture right along the floor rather than trying to carry it, or struggling to push it.

We needed something that would prevent our couch at a rental property from scratching our floors, so we purchased these and they work great so far when guests need to move the sleeper sofa for use. I assume they will collect dirt and hair easily which is why I like the fluffy covers that go over the plastic for easy washing.
