Q: Do I need to buy anything else to install this unit

Call Dometic. 1 800-544-4881. You can buy directly there too if you're like me buying too quickly and not reading lol. You need an internal setup. Dometic serial number is in the Amazon title. This is this head unit only (exterior). Each setup is different but you need to choose either LED thermostat or mechanical. Mechanical usually comes with air box included and is half the price. You'll need. Control boards are for multiple ac units or something. Ask them. If you're hooking up to an existing setup instead of a fresh install just ask them what you'll need. :)

Dometic thanks you for your question. Your current AC is a heat pump unit, this is not a heat pump. It can act as a replacement, but would not have heat pump function. This AC also does not come with a control board for the thermostat, whereas your current AC does. For further information, contact our support team at customersupportcenter@dometic.com.

you need both 12v for the t-stat and 120v to run the a/c unit
