Bright, functional
Good, bright, well built light. Nice to be able to change up the lens colors. The clip is good for a MOLLE backpack. Not sure what good the little loop under the screw lid is, but it folds out of the way. Looks pretty professional.

Not as bright as I thought
Like as expected. Thought maybe would have been brighter because is led. Quality is good and sturdy.

Garbage
All plastic, cheap and flimsy. It’s basically a toy from the dollar store that puts out a little bit of light.

Incandescent not LED
Advertised as LED. Comes with bare bones incandescent bulbs.Do not recommend

Exactly what I need
Review for Rothco Mini Army Style Flashlight, Olive Drab ($8.19 with free shipping). This flashlight has slightly warm natural light so as to have less of a hindering effect on the natural release of melatonin, and to keep the eyes adjusted to the dark. I don't like red light because it makes it hard to see what I'm doing (and creeps me out while I'm camping), while bright white light is too harsh, so this flashlight is a happy medium. It also comes with a yellow, blue, green, and red filter (I don't know what purpose the blue and green might serve).I did not see a replacement bulb built into it, as claimed by the description. Am I missing something? I don't need a replacement bulb, and it would just add extra bulk, but even so, it is blatant false advertisement, so I removed a star for that reason.Unlike many headlamps, this flashlight clips to a belt or backpack strap so as to create angled shadows to more easily spot tripping hazards, and it doesn't shine directly into the eyes of whoever I'm facing.I like that this one doesn't have all the fancy magnets, motion sensors, and million lumens to blind anyone in a mile radius. Magnets collect dirt-like ferrous material, they stick to metal things unintentionally, and they have the potential to destroy certain electronics and the magnetic strip on credit cards. I find it annoying that all the other angled flashlights have a magnet on the bottom. I don't need a magnetic flashlight while camping or during a power out.The other thing is the batteries. More and more headlamps and angled flashlights are scrapping the batteries in place of an integrated battery and charging port. For a backpacking trip, I prefer carrying a couple extra AAs rather than a whole expensive charging port and cord. Plus, charging ports can run out of charge in the cold, whereas I've not had this problem with batteries. (I have not tested this claim with precision.)This review is long-winded not only to inform prospective buyers, but also because I hope it reaches other flashlight companies to make a competitive flashlight that meets and improves upon certain practical needs. I've been searching for this damn thing for too long.

Nostalgia purchase but better.
I was issued the full sized one of these in Boot camp but lost it many years ago. This was a nostalgia purchase that I wanted to make practical. I purchased some upgraded light bulbs and rechargeable batteries. It still kind of sucks like most military gear but it's better than it was and certainly a useable flashlight. Substantially smaller than the military issued one. Also, it was dirt cheap.

Good Military style AA flashlight !
This is a really good AA flashlight for everyday use. It is a better flashlight than the AA mini mag flashlight, because this Military style flashlight is lighter and has better control features with many colored lenses included.

Great
Exactly what I was looking for. A light that was not bright.
