CB12Mild Mint Mouthwash, Enamel Strengthening, Odour-free Breath For 12 Hours, 1L

CB12 Mild Mint Menthol Mouthwash 1000mlAs a diabetic ,with some severe problems in controlling advancing gum disease , I use mouthwashes daily ( 2 x) to try to control both bacterial flora in the mouth/gums and to provide a pleasant ongoing taste. I am not aware that I have any specific halitosis problem ( perhaps best friends haven’t been honest?). I am a regular cleaner of teeth using electrical toothbrushes.Most of the mouthwashes I have used are also menthol based . (Of the other two common mouthwashes I have commonly used , both are alcohol free and one other contains zinc salts. These washes are claimed to be antibacterial and antiplaque. For both of these other products the fresh mouth odour does not last the full 12h)So what am I looking for in a mouthwash? Basically two functionsa) Pleasant flavour / odour giving a long term fresh breath.b) Excellent bacterial control on gums / teeth – preferably stopping any gingivitis ,plaque build up , and other gum problems.The product as received is a 1L pump unit – you will need a separate glass/container to dispense the product into. The recommended dose is 10ml ; the dispenser gives out 5ml per pump action.(NOTE The pump , as delivered is locked down , to get out any product you need to rotate the pump head until it pops up completely!).The composition list is fairly standard ( but the compositional blend may be unique) – the product contains alcohol and the antibacterial chlorhexidine. It also contains 0.05% sodium fluoride and zinc acetate.In use – I checked this with my standard measure for my normal mouthwashes – 10ml is a small dose to what I have been using with traditional mouthwashes ( more like 15-20ml) so is more economical. The initial taste is definitely mild and slightly astringent ( the zinc salts?) - not unpleasant however. The breath odour immediately after use (as reported by my wife in a sniff test) is pleasant. .12h freshness test ( overnight) - no negative odours ( but no residual odour of the product)12h test during the day – start 8am , retested 8pm – same result as overnight.It will take some time to assess any effects on plaque and gingivitis control although even after one day I detected a lack of build up of plaque forming coating which continued during the week. I will be monitoring how well the product handles the odours from strong foods ( e.g. garlic, curry , other spices)Unit costs appears to vary strongly depending on the supplier but , compared to the “ simple” mouthwashes ( usually supplied as 500ml with a simple cap) this product may cost up to 4-5 times more. However I found myself using 30% less than other washes. I expect that for chronic halitosis sufferers if it works as well as claimed it will be money well spent.Rate as 5 stars based on initial testsUPDATE -However carefully I control my blood sugar levels , my gums have a tendency to bleeding after cleaning - even with special cleaning heads and electric brushes . one further positive I have noted with the product, is that continued use has reduced the tendency to gum bleeding .Update 15th Oct 2015 - Still working very well and have some 250ml left after 3 months ( 2 persons using) so maybe a usage rate of 1 month /1 L / 2persons.Have just reordered our second litre pump pack

First of all I hold my hands up, I was after a spray mouth freshener to use on the go, when this arrived, it was just a mouth wash.Instead of sending it back, I thought I would give it a try after all the good reviews.To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The mouthwash is attractive in the bottle it comes in and 250 mls.I cannot really say what the taste is here, my husband thought a weaker peach taste, but I found it clearly a very faint mint taste.I am not sure if the seller had to re order a batch of mouthwash, but this took weeks to come. Maybe because I had it on subscribe and save, so that maybe my fault, just to get it a little cheaper, I cannot remember.I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day, use floss and a floss thinner toothbrush. I then use 10 ml to rinse the mouth after brushing my tongue. I like a clean mouth.Later on in the day, I had several cups of tea, and coffee and ate snacks, rinsed afterwards after brushing. It states the mouthwash cleans and refreshes and combats odour if you have any for up to 12 hours. As soon as I sluiced my mouth, it didn’t feel that fresh at all. It felt like mint was added for five seconds then removed, if you know what I mean. For £6+ this isn’t that good in my opinion, and I much prefer the strong deep pink freshener from a German food store.My husband did his nightly routine and in the morning I asked his thoughts on his mouth whether it felt fresh. He said it was ok, but knew his mouth required cleaning like every morning.We are all different, but to me not strong enough and far to expensive, especially when there are better variations around.After a while of using, the mouthwash dried my mouth out, and had a continuous cough, for that reason, I stopped using, and have been fine.Sadly will be removing from the subscribe and save, and will not be buying again.⭐️Thank you to the seller⭐️I hope my review helps.

Don't know how I managed without this. It works perfectly and, as someone with a dry mouth due to medication, it's good to know that there's an extra line of defense to prevent smelly breath. Worth every penny, although I now try to buy the bigger bottles as they work out more cost effective.

Is used by all of my family.

This is a ok mouthwash. But very mild in strength. I feel for the price it should come with dosing cup.
