The multilingual scripts are very helpful for easily interpretation of original Urdu poem !

Haven't finished reading it completely but every poem in this book is thoroughly enjoyable. The devnagri transliteration makes it easy for people who are not familiar with urdu script.

It's a good book.English translation is excellent but it would have been better had meaning of all the difficult words of urdu provided in Hindi version of poems.English transliteration could have been avoided to incorporate more poems.The get-up, design, printing and paper quality are attractive and fascinating . Publishers have done wonderful job in bringing out this edition of one of the greatest poets of Urdu in twentieth century. Lovers of Urdu poetry must buy it.

good book for introduction to Iqbals poetry.but there are many mistakes in devnagri when you are person who cares for correct tlafuz(pronounciation) of urdu. for example urdu word bazu is written as baju in devnagri.also this is excellent book for people who lack rvangi(continuity) in urdu reading because they can refer devnagri and roman script side by side. also meaning of some difficult words is given in devnagri version.

Had high hopes from this but this turned out such a disappointment.M giving 1star for paper and quality of book ans another cuz it looks good in book shelf.Reason why m saying this is cuzMost important poems "Shikwa" and "Jawab-e-Shikwa" are only 10 paragraphs in this book , in reality both are 30 paras.First poem (Himalaya) is also missing 4 5 paragrahs (yes paragraph not lines).One poem (chand aur sitara) has some words jumbled between.Also English translation gives no justice to real text.I will read more and edit my review if i find more missing parts Or other things.Will strongly recommend not to buy it, instead go for simple one language book and take internet's help for meaning

Good Book if you know urdu. Not satisfied with the English translation.
