Bibliophile: An Illustrated Miscellany Hardcover – Illustrated, September 11, 2018

An absolutely delightful book for all those who love books, bookstores, libraries, writers, people who make books available for those who may not otherwise have access to them, and people who consider reading one of life’s greatest treasures. The writer, bookstore owner, and book jacket designer bios are succinct but informative, and the book is well structured for both a first read and later referrals. The author’s illustrations and sketches are visual treats – she even provides sketches of the houses in which beloved writers lived, along with renderings of the rooms in which they wrote, and the pets that inspired them. While the book certainly serves as a definitive source for books you might want to explore, it’s much more than that. It’s an homage to writing and writers as well as to reading and readers.

These books are amazing!! First of all just looking at them is a feast for your eyes. The art, the fun paragraphs about different books and book topics, *chefs kiss*. Buying this book just to look at it would have been well worth whatever I spent. The fact that I'm also getting book recommendations while reading this book, I think my TBR is crying but I'm excited. I plan on purchasing this for friends and family members as gifts because it's something that would make a great gift for any book lover, or any art lover!I purchased this one first, and within 5 minutes of flipping through it realize that I needed the Diverse Spines as well and I couldn't be happier with both books. I would absolutely recommend that you get both!!

Bibliophile is jam-packed with information, illustrations, recommendations, and just about everything else that has to do with books. I seriously think I doubled my to-be-read list after reading this book. Highly recommended and fun for bibliophiles like me.

Wow! My copy arrived just a couple days ago, and I was delighted from the moment I opened it. What a gorgeous book, cover to cover! It is full of wonderful tidbits and will delight any book lover. It really feels like the author herself is fascinated by every part of the book world. Somehow she knew just what nuggets of information and details would be the most interesting and engaging.I've been digging into the lists and anecdotes, which are made so much more special and vibrant by the author's wonderful illustrations. The variety of lists was a fun surprise, with lots of categories that I hadn't even thought of before, and the book has already lengthened my "to read" list considerably!I really love the book, and I'm definitely buying extras as gifts for the book lovers in my life!

I love this book. The cover and the interior pages are gorgeous. I enjoy returning to it from time to time for recommendations. Highly recommend.
