Dear amazon: details are everything - is this a "soft", "medium", or "hard" toothbrush product?

The bristles are soft, but the plastic brushes on the outside are medium. We normally use soft brushes and these are fine.

Are they good for braces ?

Yes. All of our manual, battery-power and electric toothbrushes and are great for cleaning with braces.

Just want to confirm, these are still the Soft version? Anything stronger is too rough on my teeth/gums.

Yes they are very soft. There are "nubby" bristles along the side of the main bristles which are quite soft & do a great job. My dentist is very pleased with my teeth since I started using these.

I bought these on amzn in march 22 for $8 - now they are $12. how do you justify that sort of price jump?

Remember a gallon of milk cost more than a gallon of gas. Buy bulk.
